ADDICTION

ADDICTION by Ayako is produced by KOSE Cosmetics & the concept is different from the usual fare of Japanese cosmetics, imagine Shu Uemura with Bobbi Brown.

I was not intending to purchase anything from the brand during my Japan trip but after walking by the counter & swatching a couple of items, I couldn't resist the temptation.

The packaging is simply sleek & of no frills.

Simple & reflective plastic casings.

Blusher in Aqua Bronze (08).

Eyeshadow in Flash Back (030ME) & Sandcastles (009P).

There are 4 finishes to the range of eyeshadows, namely

ME-Metallic, M-Matte, P-Pearl & S-Sparkle.

There are casings to be brought separately that can hold up to 4 and 6 eyeshadow or any blusher taking up the space of 2 eyeshadow, so the casing can be customized as you desire.

And I got Compact Case 1 which is for 4 eyeshadow, filled it with the above 2 eyeshadow and 1 blusher.

Compact Case 1

The compact case opens up like this, with a mirror on the inside of the top flip.

The top left hand eyeshadow is Sandcastles (009P), this makes a gorgeous highlighter or as a base, the luminosity is lovely.

The one on the top right is Flash Back (030ME), which is a metallic warm taupe that goes on smooth & velvet-like.

And on the bottom is the blusher Aqua Bronze (08), this blusher gives a lovely sheen to the face & it is like a golden apricot shade with a tint of beige.

I really like this blusher for for it subtlety highlights the cheeks with a splash of color, three dimensional this is.

I didn't know that there was a gift for purchase of a certain amount, so this GWP came as a nice addition to my purchases.

A little gold wristlet & a slim fold-able mirror.

I am quite pleased with my picks from ADDICTION & I am keen to explore more of the products.

And if I am not wrong, it is only available in Japan currently, so I will only be able to check out more of the brand when I go over again (hopefully soon!).

As the brand name suggests, this brand is quite an addiction ♥.

♥ 日本.夏.2010 ♥ Day 9

Day 9

I got no idea why we both always wake up feeling hungry & the first thing we do when we get ready to head out is to eat.

I wanted to shopped around Isetan Shinjuku hence we popped by the upper

level dedicated to restaurants & cafes.

We walked past the basement where all the groceries & counters of food, pastries, cakes & etc are.

Watermelon costing a whopping ¥15750 (Approx. SGD$247!)

Most of the restaurants were crowded during lunch time & queues were formed, hence we decided to join the shortest.

AGIO by Mikasa Kaikan has the shortest queue.

We ordered 2 set lunch.

The mixed appetizers which comes with my set.

It was a huge plate & the appetizers looks so miserable when placed on it.

Creamy Corn Soup for the BF set, it was really creamy & flavorful.

I had the Grilled Pork chop with fries, the pork chop is pretty tasty which is just lightly salted and evenly grilled.

The BF had the Tomato Mozzarella Pasta, he couldn't taste much of it as he wasn't feeling very well on that day.

After having lunch, we walked around Isetan & I, especially enjoyed shopping at the Isetan Girl level on Basement 2.

And I got myself a little something.

From Rebecca Taylor

A key chain/ bag charm with the iconic kitty sitting on a embellished hot air balloon.

It is said to be limited to Tokyo & I find it to be kinda of cute, so I had to have it.

We headed to 銀座 (Ginza), where upscales boutiques are housed and renowned as a luxurious shopping district.

My main destination for the day was at Ginza.

Inside the Gucci boutique at Ginza.

Gucci Cafe.

The embossed Gucci Leather menu.

I ordered the tea time dessert set while the BF just had a pot of tea, no sweets for his throat.

My pot of Earl Grey Tea.

His Original Blend Tea.

My Tiramisu with fruits.

The Gucci logo was embossed everywhere possible.

Sneaks for the cafe.

All sleek & clean cut.

And the toilet, it is important that the toilet looks as good as the rest of the place right?

Indeed it does, clean & pretty spacious... haha...

Picked up some Gucci Chocolates

Comes in boxes of 4, 12 & 16.

I got just 4 pieces to try.

We walked around Ginza & was instantly attracted to the 43rd Sony Aquarium.

We spend quite some time exploring the entire Song Building, had fun trying and testing the advancement of technology & yet to launched gadgets by Sony.

And it was not long before having to head back to Shinjuku to meet our friend for dinner.

Makoto-san brought another friend along & decided to have Tonkatsu for dinner.

They did the ordering there was plenty of appetizers to go around..

Cold Tofu topped with bonito flakes & chopped onions

Tako Wasabi which is octopus marinated with wasabi.

Assortment of Japanese pickled vegetables.

Sweet Tomato

A Katsu set each for both of us

I had the Mixed set & I really like the minced pork with cheese.

Which the BF had the Kurobuta Set (Black pork set).

A table full of food!

We had a hearty dinner & Makoto-san was really nice to treat us for taking care of him when he was in Singapore a few months back.

And Makoto-san loves Singapore & our local food fare so he was telling us that he will be coming to Singapore when he can, all for the food!

We headed back to the hotel after the dinner & coffee at a nearby cafe.

And I opened the Gucci chocolates after getting back to the hotel.

And no, I didn't eat it right away, I put it inside the fridge in the hotel room & brought it back home to share with my family.

I was feeling really tired that day & after washing up, I fell asleep with the television on.

Till Day 10.

♥ 日本.夏.2010 ♥ Day 8

Day 8

I have been to DisneyLand Tokyo, HongKong & LA but not to DisneySea, so I wanted to go with the BF though he has been there once.

The weather isn't ideal for a day out but it's our decided 'Disney Day' so we went ahead.

Getting close to DisneySea.

The Disney Train Route.

We had to take a train to the DisneySea Station.

Our train tickets.

The cute hand rails in the train.

Look at the gloomy weather.

We got ourselves the Starlight Passport for entry after 3 p.m.

Some pictures inside DisneySea.

We were both really hungry, so we decided to head towards Mermaid Lagoon for a really late lunch.

Outside Triton's Kingdom.

Dinning under the 'Sea' at Sebastian's Calypso Kitchen.

The really cute menu & food display in a big clamshell.

Ordered 2 sets of the Fish burger, comes with fries, a drink & dessert.

And a pizza to share.

And I bought the Sea Salt Ice Cream from the little cart outside the restaurant.

It comes with a little pink clamshell container which is for keep.

We went around and queued for a few rides, it wasn't long before the sky turned dark & I did a little shopping.

Shelves of Duffy, the Disney Bear.

With the gigantic Duffy.

There are quite a variety of popcorn flavors available at different carts around the park and we stumbled upon Milk Tea Popcorn.

We got the popcorn in the Duffy Bucket.

The popcorn tasted pretty bland, the milk tea taste was hardly detectable though it smelled really delicious.

It was reported on the news that the weather is bad, extremely windy and there was storm somewhere in Japan.

My hair was everywhere!

Last picture of DisneySea before heading back.

The 3 little Shellie May ( female version of Duffy which I presume is Duffy's gf) for me & my 2 younger sisters.

All placed inside the pop corn bucket & yes, I washed the bucket prior to putting them inside.

Milk Tea scented Shellie May doesn't sounds too bad though.
