♥ 日本.夏.2010 ♥ Day 5

Day 5

We decided to go to 東京駅 (Tokyo Station) which is the main intercity rail terminal in Tokyo.

The station is located at the Manunouchi district which houses financial establishments & towering skyscrapers.

We were both feeling hungry & went food hunting at 新丸の内ビルディング (Shin Marunouchi Building)

where numerous restaurants & cafes are situated.

Interior of Shin Marunouchi Building.

The concept behind this building is 'wonderful times'. The building revolves around the classy vibe & the feel of affluence.

We decided to have italian food at DELIZIÔSO FIRENZE on 5th level.

Complimentary Bread

We each ordered a lunch set which compromises an appetizer of your choice, main course of your choice, dessert of the day & tea.

The BF has the 5 assorted appetizers.

I had Prosciutto di Parma, this serving of parma ham is really generous for an appetizer, especially for a set meal.

The BF had the Beef Lasagne which is stated to be of limited servings per day.
He says that it was really flavourful, the sauce was rich & served piping hot.

I had the Blue Swimmer Crab Pasta which was also stated to be of limited serving each day on the menu.

It was really tasty & I happily devour the pasta.

The dessert of the day was some fruit jelly which didn't fare so well for me, I detect passion fruit which I am not a fan of.

Tea to end the meal.

We hardly the luxury to lunch out in Singapore & we really enjoyed the time talking over food without being pressed for time.

The set lunch was really worth the price, it fact, we felt that the serving sizes & quality exceeded the price.

The next stop was Rilakkuma Store at FIrst AvenueTokyo Station.

Rilakkuma

More Rilakkuma

More & more Rilakkuma

I was happy to be overdosed by Rilakkuma! And yes, I bought some stuff back.

We walked around First Avenue Tokyo Station which is a commercial centre with 100 over retail establishments however the area is under renovation so some parts might be sealed off till completion in Spring 2012.

We walked back to Shin Marunouchi Building & headed for Afternoon Tea TEAROOM for I had cravings for something sweet.

Outside Afternoon Tea TEAROOM. There was a little queue outside & we waited for about 10 minutes before getting seats inside.

We each ordered a Souffle set .

チャイクリームフロート

We both had the Chai Tea Ice Cream Float

The BF had the Seasonal Souffle in Mango flavour.

I had the Banana Chocolate Souffle, it is so so sinfully good!

The serving wasn't small yet I still stuffed myself silly to finish it up although I was already full.

I really like the interior & setting of the Afternoon Tea TEAROOM at this outlet.

Lovely place to chat oveyummy souffles & I have to say it is ladies oriented, there was only 2 guys including the BF.

Love this mirror! ♥

We were so full & decided to head back to Shinjuku where we did some shopping.

We went to Lumine EST to shop before having a late dinner as we were both full from the heavy lunch & souffle.

I had cravings for Okonomiyaki & there was a restaurant that serves okonomiyaki called 'Saute', so we had our dinner there.

Complimentary appertizer.

Pretty lady chef at work!

The BF had some special okonomiyaki with cheese.

I had the pork & egg combination, it was really good!

The restaurant got really packed by the time we were digging into our food.

We went to walk around Shinjuku area after dinner before heading back to the hotel.

Hauls for the day.
